YIFAN XIE

I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Rutgers University, specializing in the guidance of Prof. Myong K. Jeong. Prior to this, I obtained an M.S. degree in Management Research from Rutgers University, as well as M.S. degrees in Economics and Finance from Pompeu Fabra University - Barcelona and Applied Urban Science and Informatics from New York University. Furthermore, I hold a B.S. degree in Statistics from the University of Glasgow and a B.Econ. degree in Statistics from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.

My research interests revolve around the intersection of machine learning algorithms, kernel methods, data mining, optimization, and game theory. I am particularly motivated by their applications in financial services analytics, business analytics, and social network analysis.

During my leisure time, I indulge in various activities. I have a passion for exploring different parts of the world and have already traveled to 58 countries. Additionally, I enjoy playing basketball, cooking, and scuba diving.
